Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects an individual's ability to focus, control impulses, and manage behavior. Below is a brief description of the symptoms and treatment options for adult ADHD:

Symptoms:

• Inattention: Adults with ADHD may have difficulty sustaining attention, following through on tasks, and organizing activities. They may often lose things, be easily distracted, and forget daily activities. Work and school performance suffer.

• Hyperactivity: Although hyperactivity may be less pronounced in adults, they may still experience excessive fidgeting, restlessness, and an inability to stay seated or quiet in situations where it is expected and high risk of alcohol and substance abuse.

• Impulsivity: Adults with ADHD may act without thinking, interrupt others, and have difficulty waiting for their turn 1.
